Most people have no idea that vaccnination as a practice began with a bunch of 1700 milkmaids scratching themselves and putting milk in the scratches to make themselves not get cowpox (which was probably caused by something completely different).
In the book, what passed for "doctors" back then, realized very fast that doing this could make them money. Edward Jenner, an early promoter of vaccination who made a bunch of money from it, talks exactly like Anthony Fauci when challenged on the topic of vaccination. Almost the exact same words... it's really bizarre.
